ATTITUDE

EQuote of the Day: 10.21.2015

Never a bad day, only bad moments.

Mike Smith, NFL coach

Question of the Day:

God has given us another day;
How bad can it be?

This was a commitment to never let myself have a bad day. It did not matter how many bad or challenging moments would occur; at the end of the day, I would make sure to identify enough good  & uplifting moments o declare it a good day. It is so much easier to deal with & overcome the bad moments when U think about how fortunate U R to have an opportunity to impact & lead others.
Mike Smith, U WIN IN THE LOCKER ROOM FIRST

NEVER QUIT - PLAY HARD THRU THE LAST PLAY!

EQuote of the Day: 10.20.2015

Studies note that optimistic people work harder get paid more, win at sports more regularly,
get elected to office more often & live longer! It turns out that being positive is not just a nice, feel-good way to live but is, in fact, THE way to live if you want better health, more meaningful relationships & greater individual & team success.
Jon Gordon
CoachFree Note: Optimistic people know that there are more ways to score on defense than offense - here's just one of them: http://espn.go.com/college-football/recap?gameId=400763542

THE RING

Your success comes from your team's commitment to a vision & purpose.

I believe that a vision & mission should include the greatness you want to chase with a focus on the character traits & purpose that inspire everyone to get there.
Jon Gordon, YOU WIN IN THE LOCKER ROOM FIRST

CoachFree Note - Your vision & purpose must, I believe, be simple & easy for everyone to grasp = best symbolized by 'THE RING' - the State Championship. It's easily connected, symbolize & all can grasp. At the end of every practice when the team would gather up for last words or the end day, I would as everyone, 'Why are we out here?' & they would answer,

"THE RING!' WITH A LOUD SHOUT!"

In a negative situation?
