BASE PLAY

EQuote of the Day: 01.27.2016

The popular trend today is keep the kids moving &
Never do the same thin twice. When I hear
An opposing coach have this philosophy,
I know we're in good shape because
We do the same things over & over again
Until they become second nature,
Part of who we are.
Bob Ladouceur, CHASING PERFECTION

Question of the Day:

Our base play: Fullback off tackle, dive play
It's who we are. Never tire of running your
base play. You do have one, right?

MATURATION

EQuote of the Day: 01.21.2016

Unbelievably good.
Bob Ladouceur, CHASING PERFECTION

Question of the Day:

How might you get them to mature faster?

GAME PLAN

EQuote of the Day: 01.20.2016

The defensive game plan [for Oregon] was to keep it simple.
Coaches figured that if they tried to get complex,
Players would think too much & not react quickly enough.
Urban Meyer, THE CHASE

Question of the Day:

The magic question is how complex is too complex?
Remember, if you put too much into their head,
Their feet don't work right.

COMPETITION

EQuote of the Day: 01.13.2016

COMPETITION:
Brings out the best in you - AND them.
Freebism

Question of the Day:

What did your competition show you
what you need to work on?

Competition brings out the best in you and them. A big example of that appeared in this title game. The special teams play of Alabama was superior to Clemson. Alabama's running, play action passes proved better than the spread offense of Clemson. I think, however, that Watson was hurt at the end of the first half & was not up to par with his running. At least five of the last seven teams that have won the title do not play spread offense. What might we learn from that?

Our program unique.  [De La Salle, still winning.]
